June 2025 Parcel Data Update

Written by The Regrid Data Team | Jun 2, 2025 12:00:00 PM

A detailed list of updates in May and a preview of the upcoming counties in our pipeline is below.

Average Parcel Age: 163 Days (up by 9 days)

Number of Parcels Refreshed: 14,065,696

Number of Counties Refreshed: 349

Number of New Parcels: 181, 213

Update to mailing address handling - We are currently planning on rolling out mailadd standardization in July as we finish our final development and testing this month. We'll share more information about this significant product improvement in July.

As a reminder, this change will standardize the mailadd field to USPS Standards. If you need the unedited mailing address as it was delivered before standardization, that is now available in the original_mailing_address field.

We added the  original_mailing_address field in the late January schema change to prepare for this improvement. The original_mailing_address continues to contain the same data as the mailadd field.

Batch Processing within the Regrid API coming soon - Last week Regrid released a new Batch Processing feature for the Parcel API. This allows users to submit a file containing multiple parcel queries (e.g., by coordinates) and receive matched property data in bulk. The new feature is designed to simplify high-volume workflows by reducing the need for individual API calls. This is especially useful for teams working with large datasets across industries such as real estate, utilities, infrastructure, and government.

Batch Processing supports asynchronous processing, providing a job ID upon submission and enabling users to retrieve results once processing is complete. For more information please engage with your Customer Success Manager or let us know by emailing tech@regrid.com.

Changes to GeoDB format exports - As a reminder, currently, our GeoDB (a.k.a. FileGDB) zip files require users to extract to a folder using the zip file name. In June, we will switch to compressing a folder with the state and county name format by default. This better aligns with ESRI guidelines for these files. We will be swapping in the folder based zip files on Monday, June 16th, 2025. Please see our detailed blog post on this change and contact tech@regrid.com if you have any questions. https://regrid.com/blog/upcoming-change-to-filegdb-zip-structure
