Expanding boundaries: Regrid European parcel data is here

If you have ever tried to source parcel data across Europe, you already know the pain. Every country has its own cadastral system, its own file formats, its own update cycles, and its own language. What works for France won't necessarily work for other countries like Spain or Italy.

We set out to fix that.

We are excited to share that Regridโ€™s European Parcel Dataset is now available, covering 20 countries and over 400 million parcels in a single, unified format. You get the spatial context you need without spending months writing custom code to clean and merge disparate datasets.

Without Regrid: Navigating fragmented land record systems

For most European countries, the core challenge usually isn't finding parcel boundaries; many official national cadastres make polygon data publicly accessible. The real headache is what happens when you try to use it across borders without a unified layer.

If you handle this in-house, your team will need to build separate pipelines for each nation, and you'll end up juggling different coordinate systems, non-standardized field names, varying API rate limits, and constant schema changes. On top of that, you have to ensure strict adherence to privacy regulations like GDPR.

Over time, keeping those disparate pipelines running drains engineering resources and distracts from your core product.

How Regrid solves it: One schema, ready for production

We handle the data collection, cleaning, and maintenance so your team can jump straight to analysis. Here's how we designed the European dataset to eliminate that cross-border friction:

  • One standard schema: Every country maps into the exact same dataset structure. Core attributes like parcel IDs, physical addresses, and calculated surface areas stay consistent no matter where you are looking on the map. A downloadable spreadsheet of our European Parcel Schema is available here
  • Regular updates: We update the dataset at least twice per year, giving you clear documentation on source provenance and version histories.
  • Flexible delivery formats: You can plug the data directly into your existing stack using bulk downloads, REST APIs, map tiles, or cloud GIS formats.
  • Built for compliance: We built this dataset with European privacy laws in mind. It includes geometry, addresses where allowed, and universal IDs, but leaves out personal details like owner names or tax valuations that introduce compliance risks.
