You’ve heard a lot from us recently about our interest in expanding the definition of parcel data.
Much of our recent work on that front has been, in concert with partners like Esri, additive: appending excellent new fields to our parcel data so that you, the user, have quick and easy access to important info that informs location decision-making.

Today I’m happy to announce that in The Regrid Property App we’re releasing an “Insights” tab that will contain stats and aggregated data, allowing users to gain more high-level context. This will allow our users to see breakdowns of properties in their area by various characteristics, like land use, ownership, and vacancy.

We see this as an important step toward not just telling you the data for a specific property, but also giving you a window into the land and property dynamics that surround it.

This is only the start of our Insights journey - we are planning to add new charts and data to Insights over the course of the coming year or two. Right now, in Insights you’ll find:

• High-level stats: size, number of parcels, etc for your chosen area
• Top Owners
• Land Use
• Vacancy status
• Wikipedia and ‘Ask AI’ functions for qualitative data

Whether looking to purchase a property, a key part of making "location decisions" is understanding the context around the specific property(ies) you care about. The more you know about an area, the better your decision-making can be.
