Regrid grew up in the civic technology, open data, and community advocacy scenes of Detroit, Michigan circa 2010 - 2020 (where we were founded and worked as Loveland Technologies).
We know that some of the most important projects in the world are way underfunded, and that great data is needed by nonprofits, academics, governments, and advocates that don’t have large or consistent budgets.
Regrid’s Data With Purpose program allows nonprofit projects that directly assist communities or advance our shared understanding of land and geographies to apply to use our parcel data on a “pay what you can” basis.
You assess your own budget and tell us what’s possible for you. We’ll assess the request and let you know if it’s possible.
We plan to create a formal, quarterly application process for this program, but for now you can fill out this form and someone will be back to you shortly.
Please note that this program only applies to our licensed data products (our nationwide data downloads and API). Our software is already priced for maximum accessibility.
Applicants do not need to have official nonprofit status and can include researchers, academics, governments, and community organizations who are purely using the data to enlighten or improve a situation in the world, and not for business purposes.
Our only ask is that you credit our contribution and allow us to promote your project when it is complete.
