Introducing Right-of-way parcel flag & Parquet format
Introducing 'Right-of-way' parcel flag to the Regrid Premium SchemaWe’ve added a new field to our Premium Schema ll_row_parcel that identifies right-of-way parcels & geometries. Right–of-way, or ROW parcels, track land that is typically used for movement, transportation, or utilities. These geometries rarely have a structure on top and often do not have an address associated with them.

Why does this flag matter?
- Geoprocessing - “Spiderweb” ROWs with many vertices cause problems with geoprocessing. Depending on the use case, you may choose to remove these geometries before running the dataset through your ETL process.
- Property use cases - For use cases focused on deeper property insights (residential & commercial), a clear ROW indicator makes it easier to focus on properties with associated addresses.
The ll_row_parcel field is a part of our Premium Schema, and existing Premium data customers should see this field in their directories over the next few days.
